Premium Mathematics Tutoring

Individualized tutoring with assessment, advance planning, and regular parent reviews.

An ongoing service that may focus on academic math, AP/IB preparation, SAT/ACT preparation, or a combination, depending on the student’s goals and changing priorities.

The tutoring plan is built around the student’s current goals. It may remain focused on one area or shift as coursework, AP or IB demands, and standardized-test dates change.

Submitted materials are reviewed in advance, each session is planned individually, and progress is analyzed across sessions. Regular parent reviews provide an update on the student’s progress, current priorities, and specific recommendations for the next stage of tutoring.

What is included

Assessment, preparation, progress analysis, and parent review are built into the service.

01

Initial Mathematical Assessment

Evaluate the student’s understanding, reasoning, ability to apply concepts independently, performance under time pressure, and response to unfamiliar problems.

02

Individualized instruction

Focus on academic math, AP/IB preparation, SAT/ACT preparation, or a combination based on the student’s current goals.

03

Advance materials review

Review submitted notes, assignments, tests, practice work, and other relevant materials before sessions.

04

Individual session planning

Prepare each session around the student’s current work, recent performance, and the priorities established through assessment and ongoing tutoring.

05

Ongoing progress analysis

Track what the student can now handle independently, what remains inconsistent, and how the tutoring priorities should change over time.

06

Regular parent reviews

Provide a prepared review of the student’s progress and current priorities, along with specific recommendations for the next stage of tutoring.

How it works

Assessment first, followed by an individualized tutoring plan.

The Initial Mathematical Assessment establishes the starting priorities. The plan is then updated as the student’s performance, coursework, and testing goals change.

  1. 01

    Share background and materials

Provide information about the student’s current courses, testing goals, recent work, previous results, and any prior tutoring or academic support.

  2. 02

    Complete the Initial Mathematical Assessment

The student works through live math tasks designed to evaluate content knowledge, reasoning, independence, timing, and responses to unfamiliar or difficult problems.

  3. 03

    Review the assessment and recommendations

The parent receives an explanation of the assessment results, the recommended priorities, and the proposed plan for ongoing tutoring.

  4. 04

    Begin planned one-on-one tutoring

Each session is taught one-on-one and prepared around the student’s current priorities. Ongoing progress analysis and regular parent reviews are used to update the plan.

Standalone services

Academic Math Tutoring and SAT & ACT Math Preparation are also available separately.

Students may begin either standalone service without completing the Initial Mathematical Assessment. Premium Mathematics Tutoring includes assessment, advance planning, ongoing progress analysis, and regular parent reviews even when the instruction focuses on a single area.
